uk based producer and dj jules dickens (aka abstract source) teams up with soul singer and songwriter elliot chapman for a blissful slice of modern deep house entitled day to night. we first were tipped off to this future classic by our good friend russ gabriel, who graciously provides two powerful remixes here in his trademark analog minimalist style. to add additional quality to the release, we have asked large artist deep future to give his take on the song.

dreamy sound scapes and 909 claps dubbed out in cosmic space. from dublin to rotterdam taking in the spirit of detroit and beyond this four tracker va has the summer techno sound. duplex have their own unique detroit on techno on the a side where costelloe gives us his own synth laden sound. the b side mark du mosch and defekt give a more dubbed out approach. this vinyl only release will damage across dancefloors this summer.

it seems like no part of the world has evaded discos ubiquitous inuence, including the caribbean. the caribbean in the late 70s and early 80s was a hotbed of musical activity and this compilation focuses on the best disco-inuenced tracks from trinidad and tobago, jamaica, and the bahamas. all of the tracks here were ocially licensed and reissued for the first time ever. highlights of the 13 tracks included on this compilation are: the under-the-radar cosmic disco tune -got to have you- by joanne wilson, a rare p&p records-inuenced track -dance with me- by odessey one, the icy cool synth-trenched -living on a string- by wild fire, the incredible dance oor-friendly -instant funk- by merchant, and the disco reggae cover of -rapper s delight- by prince blackman. this compilation was compiled and researched by deano sounds and includes edits by al kent, the whiskey barons, and waxist selecta.

richard burkinshaw and james rial aka audiojack have been at the forefront of underground electronic music for nearly a decade now with the duo dropping their first full length ep on 2020vision in 2006, entitled white noise. here the duo return to the label with a fresh single, following recent output which saw them collaborate with lcd soundsystem’s nancy whang for a single on gomma, and a string of material and remixes on their hugely successful gruuv imprint.

hardmoon london continues its new found adventure by releasing another piece of the impure sound it thrives on. this time bringing in chicago legend: gene hunt. hunt takes a look back into the history books of chicago with some no-nonsense gritty acid tracks that have been designed to shatter teeth and jaws alike.

following their ongoing relationship with soma records, ukrainian duo woo york are set to release their new record that proves to be somewhat representative of recent dramatic events in their country. entitled i am against, both the main track and the ep itself are referring to the developments that lead to revolutionary struggle of the ukrainian people. fighting inequality, saying what you have to say and doing what you have to do seem to be the core ideas of the record. you might have figured that out yourself by spotting a rebel protester from january’s clash with riot police depicted on the record sleeve. the ep also features a special remix from uk techno producer, Ø phase. music-wise the ep presents the same idea: the epic energy of the title track highlights the drive that was fuelling peaceful individuals to go out onto the streets and fight for their rights. an excellent remix from Ø phase follows a similar path, although in its own original way that has made the uk-based artist’s name associated with the finest techno to date. closing the ep ‘in the end’ is a more abstract side of woo york’s music works that reminds us once again: every single act of violence is bound to come to an end at some point.

holdie gawn & micawber are back with sylphe06: once again working around their usual split format. holdie gawns * moon ride* is a haunting, melancholic trip in a deep mood, that stretches slowly and steadily over 12 minutes in a journey of enchanted synths and micro-grooves. over to the b side we have * vattum* by micawber, a solid, stopming techo affair with a large, deep bassline & kikcdrum, resonating and pulsating slowly. on top crispy rides, hats & glitches accompany the groove slowly, making this ep a fine comdination between two very different yet effective tracks for the mind and the dancefloor.

back in february 2013, shortly after their impressive first release as a label, music is love launched a double va entitled lovebox: an 8 track double-vinyl release that included tracks from 8 talented up-and-coming producers on their roster. by innovatively previewing the producers in this way, the label laid the foundations for what listeners could expect for each artists subsequent eps. the artists who released on it were not hyped up flavours of the month, but rather emerging talents who sat perfectly with the labels musical ethos - quality and original underground house with a contemporary, dynamic feel. since the va, the label have gone from strength to strength and have firmly established themselves as one of the most brightest house labels around in the uk.

of unsound mind is the new label from dj skream and is set to be an outlet for up and coming new producers hes feeling and thinks people need to know about-. first in the release schedule is brendan neal aka motions (a producer from canada but now residing in london) who has previously released records as one half of the production duo grown folk and also recently as motions on la label body high. here he delivers three solo tracks consisting of deep and melodic house, the a side ‘fading’ received heavy club testing by skream in ibiza at the end of last summer and was the catalyst for him to sign the 12inch. fielded and home is away from here follow in the same vane and complete the release from this up and coming talent who is sure to have a bright future

saves *monsters and fairies* is an abandoned hotel room located somewhere between england and spain. it is real for some while for others it is just a fantasy. who knows?
it is in this exact same place that the american singer/vocalist craig louis higgins jr. (paranoid london/mutado pintado/black daniel), the australian singer/composer saskia sansom and the fench electronic music composer marc nguyen tan (colder) got together to record these songs during the year 2012. however some listeners will find interesting to know, that until today, the three of them have never actually met in person.

the last few years have seen chicago footwork rise to international success, and traxmans debut album - *the mind of traxman* on planet mu - played no small part in that. it showcased cornelius fergusons brilliant ability to synthesise the beat digging of classic hip hop with the high-speed abstraction of footworks house-derived beat science. the selection of tracks on this second chapter show a slightly different take on traxman s abilities. instead of bringing in concepts from other genres, he simply creates a wider variety of footwork, made with a minimal, reduced palette. often just one or two samples are selected and diced into brain-blurring cubist puzzles that bear little relation to their original sources, or anything else for that matter.

for his release on mr bongo we have gone back to the original source - labi siffres classic 1975 release *remember my song*. this is his fifth album and features the vulture , sadie and the devil and i got the, sampled by eminem, jay-z, wu-tang clan, atmosphere, the beatnuts and frankenstein, amongst others. co-produced by derek lawrence and big jim sullivan - a prolific session musician, artist and producer - who also worked with artists such as david bowie, serge gainsbourg and frank zappa. brian bennett of the shadows, chas hodges and dave peacock aka chas n dave also feature on this funk masterpiece from 1975. this lp is reissued in new and improved sleeves (made in japan) and features label designs as per the original 1975 release.
